Free, because we paid for the content

There is now a website that allows you enter just about any city name and get a free, one-page guide to that city appear on your screen in an instant. Try it here.

Not altogether unimpressive, until of course you look through the guide and realise that it is (a) not very good and (b) ripping off your content.

We tried out the Bucharest guide: http://ob.gd/romania/bucharest/

The entries for Fratelli, Queens and Gossip all looked rather familiar.

They say about Fratelli:

‘Calling itself a bar and lounge, there are certainly enough comfy sofas here to qualify it in the lounge category…’

We say about Fratelli:

They say about Gossip:

‘If too many places like this keep opening up, then Bucharest is going to end up as the club capital of Eastern Europe (if it isn’t already). This is currently the city’s after hours favourite, where the great and good comes to chill out after shaking its expensive thang at other locations…’

The entry for Queens is also ours, although, it having closed years ago you will not find it on In Your Pocket, as we actually bother to do real research

Email them to take off your content or give proper credit for it. That’s what we do when we end up finding that someone decided to “use” our content wt/out asking.
