I would like to how is life in romania and specially in Cluj?

    • ‘how is life in romania’

Depends on your circumstances… Subsistence farmers toiling away every hour of daylight have a grim existence, people in towns fare better, some better than others. It’s an impossible question to answer!

As for Cluj, read this fellow’s blog: according to him life in Romania is without question wonderful and way better than anywhere else in the world (especially the US) and anyone who suggests otherwise is a traitor and a horrible person and, like, just so wrong, man.

Generally speaking, it could be better.

  • Nice post . Indeed Brasov , Bran , Rasnov they are very good places to visit , and don;t forget Apuseni mountains.

  • Thanks so much for providing individuals with such a terrific possiblity to read articles and blog posts from this blog. It really is so kind and also jam-packed with a good time for me and my office co-workers to search your site particularly thrice per week to learn the new secrets you have. And definitely, I’m so certainly impressed with all the exceptional thoughts you serve. Selected 4 points on this page are completely the simplest I have ever had.

“Presence of major car-rental companies: Rank 1”

At least we’re the best in something. 😀

    • Indeed, it is not all bad by any means, and Romania is up three places overall from 66 to 63. But the country really loses points for its lack of transport infrastructure. We have said this before: even if millions of tourists – keen to catch a glimpse of Elena Udrea and other such attractions – were to turn up at the border tomorrow, how to transport them all to where they want to go?

trains, must have a high speed rail network to get people to the likes of Brasov, Bran etc… Romania isn’t a big country and should be easy to navigate if there were a good rail link.

Let’s face it, Bucharest, although it has the airports, isn’t exactly a place for tourists.

No and probably never will be. But Brasov, Cluj, Sibiu etc. should be Touristville, Tennessee.

            • anon

*should* being the operative word, but three hours from Bucharest to Brasov by train is a bit of a turn off for someone who’s just traveled across Europe on a plane.
