Hi. I am the photographer, and a citizen of Brasov city.
I don`t think the tower has a name. Is in the neibourhood of “Postavarilor” bastion, between this and “Funarilor” bastion. The “Funarilor” bastion have a house incorporated and have an hexagonal shape.
Some more details you can find on this Wikipedia article: http://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fortifica%C8%9Biile_Bra%C8%99ovului
Great photo. We used a photo of yours last time too: the Juni Parade. You are of course credited in the guide.
The tower has no name? Your competition was a sham Turp
=))
It’s Bastionul Funarilor or Franghierilor (Rope makers’ bastion).
Excellent. Had there been a prize it would be winging its way to you now.
Not Rasnov?
Nope, keep guessing.
Brasov Fortress
The White Tower?
Brasov just aint what it used to be. In the good old days the Aro cellar bar and Barul Ziaristilor in the Corona hotel were the best in the country
I believe that’s Turnul Vanatorilor (Hunters’ Tower), bordering the parking lot for the telegondola. I recall a metal art shop and a hunting weaponry museum nearby.
Not the White Tower, not the Turnul Vanatorilor.
