You barely have to read between the lines of this scandalously wrong story to see that there is more in play than a hotel’s grading.
For the record, the Athenee Palace Hilton has not been downgraded from five to four stars.
Besides, even if it had, stars in Romania mean nothing because the Romanian Ministry of Tourism – which decides these things – is anything but the model of incorruptibility and objectivity that it needs to be in order to hand them out (or take them away).
We love the Hilton and we always have. What the Ministry of Tourism or scandal sheets think is, quite frankly, irrelevant.
