How a society treats the weaker of its herd gives powerful insight to its people and culture. For may, stray dogs is an emotional issue. I have lived in Europe, in the West as well as Czech and Poland, for 12-years now and am touched how our canine friends are so well treated. When I see the situation in Bucharest, it brings me real pain and I wonder if I really am in Europe still. One person’s view…

This morning I walked by Herastrau entrance at Aviatorilor Square on my way to work. No less than 11 stray dogs were on duty at the park entrance, all of them in a good mood luckily. Five of them left their positions there though and crossed the boulevard on green light to Primaverii where they probably had some business to attend
